A different take on the Scrambla
For the fifth year in a row, we invite you to participate in Scrambles designed for non-belly flyers: Flyspot 2-way VFS Scramble! They are played at two levels of difficulty: Rookie (HeadUp – sitfly only) and Pro (HeadUp+HeadDown).
Rules
The rules are simple: you sign up, and we’ll draw your teammate from among all those signed up, with whom you’ll compete for the win and prizes from Flyspot.
The Flyspot 2-way VFS Scramble consists of 9 rounds: 8×2-way + technical round.
– Round 1 is a warm-up round, during which you can train single blocks and randoms. The speed at which the team will fly the next rounds will also be determined here.
– Rounds 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 will be determined by the organizer and announced at the briefing. To arrange the rounds will be taken into account: Rookie – 9 random figures (A,B, C, D, E,F,G, H,I) and 3 blocks (1, 2, 3); Pro – 8 random figures (A,B,C,D, E,F,G,H) and 5 blocks (1,2,5,6,7).
– The technical round (as in FS doubles) consists in making an eight between the sashes by both members of the team on the basis of a relay, i.e. one player makes an eight, coming out of the tunnel to the sluice he nails a “five” to the other player from the team and then the other starts an eight, and so on. At the Rookie level, the figure eight is performed in HeadUp (sit) orientation; at the Pro level, both HeadUp (sit) and HeadDown orientations are allowed.
All rounds will last 1 minute, of which 45 seconds will be the working time in which points will be counted (the working time starts when both legs of one of the two players in the team are detached), 15 seconds will be reserved for exiting the tunnel. The technical round will last 2 minutes.
We start each Scramble with a briefing at 7pm, and then begin the big flying. Each team will spend at least 10 minutes in the tunnel!
Minimum skills:
– Rookie – the ability to move freely and safely in the HeadUp (sitfly) position in all directions, the ability to catch grips and safely perform transitions back to sit.
